Out of nowhere, Nissan has lifted the wraps on an all-new Frontier pickup truck at the Shanghai Auto Show (Auto Shanghai 2025). The fact that there’s a new-gen Frontier – called the Frontier Pro – isn’t all that major, but the big deal is that this is a plug-in hybrid truck, something we feel Nissan desperately needs to bring to the USA. But revealing the truck in China and choosing to launch it in the Chinese market first suggests it might not reach the US.
