Sony is rumored to be releasing a new color of its true wireless earbuds for gaming, called the INZONE Buds soon, with leaked images having now surfaced that show off the new color in all its glory. These are said to be announced alongside some other new gaming products that Sony plans to reveal this week. Sony confirmed it has an INZONE event for April 14. So, there’s a guarantee that it plans to announce something at tomorrow’s event. There’s a non-zero chance it’s related to audio in some capacity, as it’s been a while since Sony launched any INZONE audio products, and audio is where Sony got its start with the INZONE brand, making audio a staple category for it.
Since then, however, Sony has also launched INZONE-branded monitors and other PC gaming peripherals, including a gaming keyboard, a gaming mouse, and some gaming mouse mat options. It’s no entirely clear what tomorrow’s announcement will include. That being said, Sony’s event is for 9AM Pacific Standard Time. Which means it’ll be early enough when gamers find out what everything is.

It’s been a couple years since Sony’s last pair of INZONE Buds, so you would think that the company would be getting ready to launch a new pair soon. That doesn’t appear to be the case at all. Sony is rumored to only be releasing a new color for the earbuds. Based on the leaked images, these will come in a new transparent purple color. The official name is rumored to be Glass Purple.
The earbuds also appear to come in a new matching case of the same color. However, it doesn’t look like there is anything new about these earbuds other than that. They appear to have the same features and specs, so this looks like just a color refresh for Spring. That being said, they should cost about the same, so that will be a bonus for those seeking a pair of gaming earbuds. A new gaming headset is also supposed to be launching as part of this new lineup with details having leaked recently.
