A new ‘fit’ for the Fit.
Mugen already has a bunch of new parts for the recently updated Honda Fit in Japan, and aside from the dress-up bits and 17-inch aluminum wheels, Mugen’s also throwing in another mod that pulls from the Civic (FK8 and FL5) Type R’s bag of performance tricks.
The concept that Mugen wanted to pursue when designing the parts for the new Honda Fit was “Life is Sports,” where Mugen explains that its parts add a sporty touch to everyday life. The “Infinite Fit,” as Mugen coined it, will be released to Japanese Honda dealerships and Mugen parts retailers nationwide, but worldwide availability has yet to be announced.

“Life is Sports”
Starting with its exterior, the front of the Fit is dominated by a redesigned bumper that follows the update that Honda gave it. Mugen wants to add to its design, offering a front under spoiler, side skirts, and a rear under spoiler. These kits give the Fit a more aggressive look and a sporty impression. There are also dry carbon parts for the exterior, which include the tailgate garnish and carbon door mirror cover, adding to the sporty aesthetic.
Moving to more performance-oriented parts, Mugen also has its own 17-inch aluminum alloy “MDE” wheels for the Fit that feature a lightweight but rigid build. There are also other bolt-ons that owners can enjoy, which include a sports muffler that frees up the flow of exhaust gases, but also keeps noise down to a minimum.
There are also a bunch of other products that come standard with Mugen logos for the discerning enthusiast, and these include ventilated visors, sports mats, sports luggage mats, and hydrophilic LED mirrors and scuff plates.

From the Type R
No, it’s not a K-Series engine, and no, it’s not a turbo kit. Mugen is keeping the Fit largely stock in this regard, but the one thing that the brand is really proud of is the chassis Performance Dampers. In fact, it got a standalone feature, and for good reason.
It appears that there is a new trend in the tuning world that revolves around damping and controlling chassis vibrations to achieve better driving performance. While the Fit is not next in line for the Type R treatment, this is a performance part that can also be found on the FK8 and FL5 Civic Type Rs. By adding these dampers to the underside of the car, it reduces chassis vibrations that can come about when driving spiritedly or at the limit of grip.
While I cannot speak to the effectiveness of these performance dampers on the Honda Fit, I can tell you that it’s going to be an expensive piece of kit. Mugen is selling this part at 143,000 JPY, or about $880. For close to 900 bucks, it’s a bit of an ask, but if you’re hell-bent on getting it, Mugen will gladly accept orders starting this July, and deliveries will start late July 2026.
