If you’re a Verizon customer eyeing a flip phone, the Motorola Razr 2026 Verizon launch is the one you’ve been waiting for. Verizon is officially carrying the base Razr 2026 starting May 21, and honestly? It’s a pretty solid pickup at $799.99.
The Motorola Razr 2026 Verizon model is the affordable entry in Motorola’s three-phone Razr lineup this year, sitting below the Razr Plus 2026 and the Razr Ultra 2026. And while the Plus and Ultra aren’t being sold directly through Verizon, the base Razr is hitting the carrier’s shelves alongside Boost Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, Visible, Xfinity Mobile, Consumer Cellular, Google Fi Wireless, and Cox Mobile.
Specs, features, and what’s new
The Razr 2026 packs a 6.9-inch inner display and a sizable outer cover screen for quick replies, notifications, and selfies without opening it. Under the hood, you get a refreshed chipset, a larger battery than last year, and an upgraded camera system. There’s also IP-rated water resistance, wireless charging, and Motorola’s signature clean Android skin with a few new tricks.
Speaking of new tricks, the Razr 2026 lineup introduces some genuinely useful AI features. There’s a new “rotate to zoom” gesture for camcorder mode, an AI shutter for group shots that automatically picks the best frame, Ultra HDR support in Instagram, and a new “Google Photos Wardrobe” feature. Motorola’s also rolling Google Photos memories into its Daily Drops feed, which is similar to what Samsung does with Now Briefing.
The Motorola Razr 2026 colors are quite impressive this year. It comes in four colors, which include PANTONE Hematite, PANTONE Violet Ice, PANTONE Sporting Green, and PANTONE Bright White.
At $799.99 on Verizon, it’s the most affordable way into the foldable game on Big Red right now. Pre-orders kick off May 14 at Motorola.com, Amazon, and Best Buy, with Verizon availability landing May 21. Expect the usual Verizon trade-in deals and installment plans at launch — those promos can knock real money off the sticker price.
