Just earlier this month, Motorola launched the Edge 70 Pro smartphone. But now, it looks like Motorola is gearing up to launch a variant of it. According to a post on X by Motorola India, the company has confirmed the launch date of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ for June 4, 2026.

According to the post, the launch date of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is set for June 4, 2026. Motorola hasn’t confirmed the price yet, but it is expected that it could be priced under Rs 50,000. The company has been teasing the phone for quite a while now, so it’s good that we finally have a date to look forward to.
That being said, we should note that availability of the phone could be limited. The announcement was made by Motorola India. This suggests that the phone could potentially be exclusive to the country. In fact, there’s a very good chance that could be the case. This is because Motorola’s Edge Pro series haven’t seen a stateside launch in quite a few years. It seems unlikely that Motorola will break this trend anytime soon.
Either way, we can hope, but we’ll have to wait until next Thursday for the details.
What can we expect?
As we had previously mentioned, the Edge 70 Pro+ looks more or less like the regular Edge 70 Pro. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, especially if you liked the design. However, we suppose the biggest talking point is the camera.Â
With the Edge 70 Pro+, Motorola has confirmed it will sport a 50MP periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS. It’s marketing this as the thinnest periscope implementation in its category. It even claims to support up to 50x AI-assisted hybrid zoom. The main shooter is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor along with a 50MP front camera.
On the display side, expect a 6.7 to 6.8-inch 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate. The chip is the Dimensity 8500 Extreme, the same one from the Edge 70 Pro. The phone also supports both wired and wireless Turbo Power charging.
As for color options, Motorola is going with three Pantone-matched finishes. There’s a deep maroon Zinfandel with a satin-matte surface, a Blue Surf option with a woven fabric-like texture, and a Wood Gold finish with a natural wood-grain look.
