In 1992, Mitsubishi changed the enthusiast world forever. That year, the Japanese automaker released the Lancer Evolution for the first time. It was meant to be a rally car for the road, and it used much of the same technology found on the actual rally car used by Mitsubishi’s Ralliart performance division in the World Rally Championship (WRC).
