A multistory medical development at The Rock at La Cantera is moving forward. The three-story project will consist of 135,000 square feet and include medical and research spaces. The San Antonio Business Journal reports the project is part of the 45-acre Rock at La Cantera development, a $500 million mixed-use campus helmed by the San Antonio Spurs basketball team. The medical building is slated for a site adjacent to the Spurs’ Victory Capital Performance Center.
A state filing states work on the $17 million development is slated to begin in early July. Lincoln Property Co. is the medical building development leader.
UT Health San Antonio plans to occupy a portion of the building and lease out the rest of the structure. It anticipates moving into the building in 2027.
