Personalization For All
In a highly competitive automotive industry, brands are trying new ways to entice buyers and gain an edge by offering something the competition doesn’t. While dealerships compete on pricing and promos, the brand itself can offer unique products that might sway people to buy from them.
Mazda‘s approach has always been different from most people’s, and in Japan, they’re offering something pretty cool to buyers of the all-new CX-5. Something they needed help from an exclusive tuner.

Autoexe Styling Kits
Autoexe is a relatively well-known tuning firm that was born in the late 90s as a dedicated group that fettles and enhances Mazda exclusively. It was founded by Japanese racing driver Yojiro Terada, who had prior experience with Mazdaspeed, the brand’s factory race team. Over the years, Autoexe has stayed in business by offering a slew of performance and aesthetic parts for Mazda models.
Its latest project is the release of 2 styling/body kits for the recently launched next-generation Mazda CX-5. The first is dubbed the KM-07 and takes inspiration from track racing. The kit itself is finished in Piano Black and adds front and side spoilers, while the rear features 2 spoilers: one for the lower part and one on the rear windscreen. You also get window visors, plus door handle covers/protectors.
Next is the KM-07 AX, AX stands for Active Xross, differentiating itself from the other styling kits by taking its design cues from the world of off-roading and rallying. Instead of pure piano black, it also uses silver metallic front and rear skid plates that have built-in angular LED lights for a true trailing feel. The AX kit also has two choices of fenders, one in matte black and one in piano black, and lastly, there are 2 color options for the heavy-duty rally mudflaps, red or black.

Dealer Option
According to Autoexe’s official website, the kits will be available for purchase at Mazda dealerships in Japan. Giving customers instant access to these parts is crucial to Autoexe’s success. They also announced that, in addition to the styling kits, Autoexe is currently developing performance-enhancement parts for the all-new CX-5. Specifically pointing out sportier suspension, body reinforcement parts like sway bars, and intake/exhaust systems.
