Construction on a 52,000-square-foot Lowes Foods store is expected this fall. The store will anchor Pappas Properties‘ master planned community that will include retail, restaurants offices, and residences at Cadia Village, Mooresville. A 2027 opening is expected.
The Charlotte Business Journal reports the Cadia Village Mooresville project at 1740 Mecklenburg Highway will add 60 single-family homes, 440 rental units and 75,000 square feet of retail and restaurants. A 6,000-square-foot wellness center is planned along with walking paths.
This will be Lowes Foods eighth store in the Charlotte market. One recently opened in Kannapolis. Pappas
Properties is also behind Cadia Village Matthews. That 82-acre project at Stallings and Idlewild roads will include 570 total residential units. The 120,000-square-foot commercial village will be anchored by Publix Super Market, which is scheduled to break ground in this year’s third quarter.
