Progressive Real Estate Partners represented a Southern California real estate developer in the sale of a 17,272-square-foot freestanding retail building located at 1380 Barstow Rd. in Barstow for $2.95 million. A local public college acquired the building which was formerly occupied by Rite-Aid.
The retail building is located at the intersection of two major freeways, Interstate 15 and Interstate 40, which are traveled by approximately 19 million vehicles annually. Additionally, over 60 million people stop, shop and dine in Barstow each year.
SVP Paul Galmarini of Progressive Real Estate represented the seller. The buyer was represented by George Okita and Sophia Heimall of California Commercial Real Estate Services.
“Our comprehensive, out-of-the-box marketing program along with the college’s vision was instrumental in securing this deal,” said Galmarini. “The college was attracted to the property’s proximity to its main campus, boosting organic facilities’ growth for the college.”
