LG just announced its latest laptop for users who are constantly on the move. Called the LG Gram Book AI 2026, the brand’s new offering in the segment is a compact notebook that offers a massive battery life in a slim design. The company hasn’t revealed the complete specifications of the new Gram Book, and the press release mostly highlights the battery life.
The compact metal notebook offers a big battery for long trips
LG has built the Gram Book AI 2026 with a full metal body. The notebook appears premium, and the metal body protects it from everyday bumps and drops. The laptop is quite thin with a waistline of 14.9mm and is lightweight at 1.29kg. It features a compact 14-inch display, but the company hasn’t disclosed the resolution and screen type as of now. Based on Windows, the notebook’s keyboard Copilot shortcuts offer access to Windows AI.
Even with that thin design, the new LG Gram Book flaunts a 61.2Wh battery inside. According to the company, this power cell is capable of delivering up to a massive 30.5 hours of use on a single charge. It delivers higher battery life than Samsung’s recently introduced Galaxy Book 6, which is in the same product category.
LG has powered the new Gram Book with Intel’s Wildcat Lake platform
For computing, the LG Gram Book AI 2026 is based on Intel’s Wildcat Lake platform. The South Korean tech giant hasn’t revealed the exact processor that powers the new notebook. However, since it has AI in its name, the chipset could likely be the Intel Core 5 320 or better. Processors below Core 5 320 have slightly weaker NPUs or lack one to handle AI tasks.
LG has introduced the new Gram Book in South Korea at a starting price of 1.4 million KRW, which roughly translates to $1,055. The brand will start selling the notebook in the country from September 7th. However, there’s no word on global availability as of now.
