The iPhone Ultra is scheduled to be announced next month, and it looks like accessory makers are getting ready for it. According to a post on X by Ice Universe, they have shared a photo of what is apparently the screen protector for the iPhone Ultra.

Worth pointing out that this iPhone Ultra screen protector is just for the front display, or the cover screen as it is commonly referred to. This is because due to the inner foldable display, you cannot use a screen protector on the inside. Most, if not all, foldable phones come with their own protective film for the inner screen. This means that you only really need to protect the outer display from scratches.
What’s interesting about this screen protector is it confirms the shape of the phone. Based on renders and mockups, the iPhone Ultra will share a similar design trait as some other foldables. This means one edge of the phone has curved/rounded corners, while the other side closer to the hinge is flat. This leaked screen protector seems to have confirmed that. However, the actual display of the phone is expected to be symmetrical.
What can we expect from the phone?
As a quick recap in case you missed the rumors, the iPhone Ultra will be Apple’s first-ever foldable smartphone. According to the rumors, the phone will sport a 5.5-inch outer display. This is the smallest display for an iPhone that we have seen in a while. The inner display, on the other hand, will unfold to about 7.8-inches. Recent rumors suggest Apple might actually bump up the display for the third-gen model.
One main difference compared to other foldables is that it will unfold into more of a tablet-like shape. A lot of older foldables and some modern ones tend to unfold into a square-ish shape. This creates an awkward situation where some apps aren’t optimized for that. By adopting a tablet shape, it will probably be easier for iOS developers to make sure their apps play nicely with the new display.
Other than that, the phone is rumored to be powered by the A20 Pro chipset. Leaked images also confirm it will sport a dual camera setup on the back.
