
When Kalibrate CEO Charles Wetzel got his start in the location analytics business in the 2000s, it was almost exclusively a services business. More recently, software has come into the picture. “The nice thing with software is that software has allowed us to pivot and produce analysis much quicker,” Wetzel told Connect CRE in an onsite interview at ICSC Las Vegas. “A lot of people initially assumed that you could do it with software alone.
“But I think what we’ve found over the years is that while you theoretically can do services only or software only, if you can blend the two together and bring the art and science together and leverage the power of technology, the solution not only lasts longer but is more robust in the delivery,” he continued.
