Some Apple iPhone Air 2 info surfaced in Korea earlier this month, and now one of the most trusted tipsters around has something to say. Digital Chat Station shared the iPhone Air 2 specs on Weibo.
The iPhone Air 2 specs leak suggests a 6.55-inch panel and a larger battery
He claims that the phone will feature a 6.55-inch flat OLED display. That display will offer a 1.5+ resolution, while it will also support a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Apple’s A20-series chip, a 2nm processor, is also tipped for the device. That chip was announced alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Duo last month.
A dual-camera setup is said to be used on the phone, which is an upgrade over a single camera on the iPhone Air. A 48-megapixel main camera will be used, along with a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera.
The phone is also said to utilize a larger battery than its predecessor. The iPhone Air 2 will allegedly have a 3,500mAh battery, or something even higher than that. Its predecessor, the iPhone Air, sports a 3,149mAh unit, which did not yield great battery life, unsurprisingly.
The phone will allegedly be thinner than its predecessor
That is basically everything he revealed. However, other leaks have suggested that the phone will be only 5.2mm thick. They’ve also suggested that the company will use the latest N2 wireless chipset and the C2 modem in the device.
This smartphone is expected to launch alongside two other iPhones in the Spring of 2027. The iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e are tipped to arrive then as well.
We still don’t know what the iPhone Air 2 will look like, but considering how rarely Apple changes its designs, there’s a good chance it will look just like the original iPhone Air, but with two cameras on the back.
