Huawei has just announced a launch event for its new flagship smartphone series, the Pura 90. The event will take place on April 20 in China, and it will start at 2:30 PM local time / 8:30 AM CET / 2:30 AM EST / 11:30 PM PST (April 19).
The Huawei Pura 90 series is coming on April 20, and it will be colorful
In addition to announcing the press event itself, Huawei also shared the design of the upcoming Huawei Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max devices. The moment you lay your eyes on the images below, you’ll notice some very colorful devices.
As you can see, Huawei opted to go against basically everyone else and offer very colorful models. Yes, black and white models will be a part of it, but these gradient finishes that are shown definitely steal the show.
The Huawei Pura 90 Pro is currently listed for pre-order in China in four colors: Mulberry Black, Coconut White, Orange Soda, and Pink Guava. The Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max, on the other hand, is listed in Obsidian Black, Dawn Gold, Sunset Purple, Orange Ocean, and Emerald Lake colors.
Huawei revealed memory options for China
The former comes in the following memory options: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, 16GB RAM + 512GB storage, and 16GB RAM + 1TB storage. We’re not sure about the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max. Also, if these phones reach global markets, they’ll be available in different memory options.
Both the Huawei Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max are tipped to utilize the Kirin 9030 Pro processor, which is Huawei’s upcoming flagship chip. It could use a 1+4+4 9-core architecture, with a large core clocked at 2.75GHz, and a medium core at 2.27GHz. The last core will be the efficiency core, and it will be clocked at 1.72GHz.
HarmonyOS 6 will come pre-installed on the Chinese variants, with a refreshed UI. Needless to say, the names of these phones are inspired by what Apple is using for its iPhone flagships.
