Huawei has launched the all-new Watch Kids X1 series at its recent Innovative Product Launch. The smartwatches are designed for children and bring several functions focused on child safety, communication, and location tracking. They also feature high-resolution cameras, an AMOLED display, a new flip-and-rotate design, cellular connectivity, and multiple smart parental control features.
Huawei Watch Kids X1 and Kids Z1 Pro launched
To begin with, the Huawei Watch Kids X1 features a new flippable, 360-degree rotatable design and a soft, breathable silicone strap. The Watch Kids X1 Pro, on the other hand, features a similar design but with a detachable body. The main housing can be placed inside a camera case that’s included in the box. This unique design allows it to be used like a small handheld camera.
As for the hardware specifications, both devices pack a 1.82-inch AMOLED display with pre-applied anti-sunlight protective film. Further, they pack a 5MP front camera with a 110-degree Field of View and a 13MP rear camera. The watches also include dual-band satellite and GNSS technology, dual-band Wi-Fi for indoor assistance, and cellular connectivity support.
Both watches include smart health tracking features
Huawei has included several sensors in the Watch Kids X1 series, including a barometer, gyroscope, accelerometer, optical heart rate sensor, magnetometer, and Hall Effect sensor. They support all the basic health-tracking features, including step tracking, sleep tracking, emotional well-being monitoring, and heart rate tracking.
Parents can view real-time activity status and receive alerts via the Huawei FamCare app. An emergency SOS button is also added to the watches. When pressed five times, it can instantly send a message or place a call. The tech giant has added several other features that ensure the child remains safe and located.
The Huawei Watch Kids X1 offers 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, whereas the Watch Kids X1 Pro includes 64GB storage. Both models feature 2 ATM, IP68, and IP69 water resistance ratings. As for the pricing, the Watch Kids X1 costs EUR 249 ($292), while the Watch Kids X1 Pro costs EUR 349 ($409). The base model will be available in Blue and Pink colors. The Pro model will be sold in Purple and Black colors.
