Toyota has never been the sort of manufacturer to offer special supercars, even though it has enjoyed a rich racing heritage. The Japanese brand has crafted sports cars like the Supra and Celica over the years, though their performance level was streets away from even thinking about taking on a full-blown supercar. It signaled its intent on changing this though, when a V10 banshee called the LFA eventually made its bow in 2011.
