The 4WD was bought new in April 2010 by Gary Driscoll, a regional grain and stock agent based in Nhill, Victoria. Across the past 16 years, Driscoll averaged more than 180 km (112 miles) a day working rural backroads and highways, sticking with the Land Cruiser until he chose to retire it at exactly 999,999 km (621,370 miles), one kilometer shy of rolling the odometer past seven digits.

As reported by ABC News, Toyota couldn’t confirm whether this specific 200 Series holds the record for the highest-mileage Land Cruiser in Australia. The company did say that several customer vehicles Down Under have crossed the one-million-kilometer mark over the years.
