It’s official. Google has begun sending out invites for its big Pixel 11 series launch event on August 12.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has posted the invite, which just says, “Come celebrate with us in NYC on August 12. It’s the night the next generation of Pixel arrives, and we want you there, live and in person, for it.” The event will be at 6PM ET on August 12.
Judging by this invite, this looks to be more of a show than an event, like Google did last year with the Pixel 10 series, which had Jimmy Fallon hosting. We also have not gotten our invite yet, which likely means that they are inviting very few people to this event, again, like last year.
If everything holds true, pre-orders will start on August 12 and should ship within a week or two. Though in recent years, Google has pushed the launch of some devices later, like the Pixel Watch 4 was in September last year.

The Android Headlines Take
There’s not a lot of surprises here, other than the fact that Google somehow announced their event before Samsung, when Samsung is almost a full month before Google’s. But Google does generally do its ‘Made by Google’ event around the second week of August now, so this lines up perfectly with that.
At this event, we are expecting to get the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and the Pixel Watch 5. They are all expected to see some sort of price increase; in fact, there was a leak earlier today about a Pixel 11 price increase. This is all due to the RAM crisis that the industry is going through, and pushing prices of virtually everything higher. And Pixel won’t be immune, but it will start at 256GB across the board.
