Back in April, we wrote about Google’s $135 million payout to most Android consumers in the US. Google decided to settle a court case, which yielded this result. We’re here just to remind you that it’s not too late to claim your share.
You can still get a piece of Google’s $135 million Android data settlement in the US
You can get up to $100 thanks to this settlement, as Google was punished for illegally collecting data, even though the company denied it. Google decided to settle in order to avoid even more complications.
If you live in the US and are eligible, claim your share. The settlement covers the vast majority of Android users in the US from November 12, 2017, up until the settlement of this case back in April.
If you’ve owned an Android device in that period, you can claim your share.. There is one exception, though. If you’re already a part of the Csupo case in California, you’re no eligible to get a part of this settlement.
You can get your piece via the traditional claim form
Chances are that you don’t even need to fill out a traditional claim form. You likely already received a payment election form to choose how you want to get paid.
Speaking of which, eligible users can choose between PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, ACH, or virtual MasterCard as far as payment solutions are concerned.
Do note that the $100 mentioned before is the absolute maximum you can receive. It is no guarantee it will be that much; in fact, there’s a good chance it will be less than that.
In regard to the topic of the settlement, Android devices allegedly sent cellular data to Google even when phones were idle since 2017, hence the court case. If you don’t live in the US, you’re not eligible for this, so you can ignore it.
If you, by any chance, did not receive the form, or you discarded it, you can take your claim here.
