If you are a Chrome browser user, you’ll know that it comes with Google Lens integration, making it handy for getting more real-time information. Well, it seems something’s not sitting right with it lately. A bug is reportedly not letting users use Google Lens within Chrome seamlessly. But the good news is that the company is aware of this and it’s already working to fix it. This means you don’t have to deal with it for much longer.
Chrome users are reportedly running into a Google Lens bug
Going into details, a Chrome user on Reddit has reported facing a weird bug when using the Chrome browser. It seems that when loading a Google Lens translated image from a new tab page, a window reportedly opens showing the full image (as seen in the image below). As per the user, clicking the window’s collapse button does nothing. This leaves the user with a window that blocks the view of the translated image. Evidently, it can be annoying.
There also appears to be an issue with the Google Lens button in the Search bar. After conducting a search, a Google Lens icon appears on the right side, but the user reports that it is nonfunctional. They also say they’ve been experiencing these issues for about a month now.
A fix is on its way
While these issues sound quite serious for regular users, it’s just not clear how widespread they are at this moment. Regardless, Google has officially responded to the original Reddit post and confirmed that these bugs are a known issue. It further added that the team is currently working to fix them. Well, that’s a positive sign. If you’ve been dealing with this Google Lens bug on Chrome, a fix is coming. We will update once that’s made available widely.
