The price of the Xbox Series X25 console has reportedly leaked ahead of Microsoft’s planned launch date for the new hardware. The Xbox Series X25 was announced earlier this year, with new Xbox Head Asha Sharma highlighting its release as part of the 25th Anniversary of Xbox. The console comes in a limited edition translucent green shell with a matching controller, and it’ll feature the same features and functionality as the original Xbox Series X.
It has 1TB of storage and it comes with the disc drive, so it’s exactly the same as the $799.99 disc model that comes in black which you can still currently buy. No pricing has been confirmed by Microsoft, but the company has said the console would officially be launching in November, right around the holiday shopping period, and close to the launch date of the original Xbox Series X model.
The leaked Xbox Series X25 price is claimed to be $899.99
The Xbox Series X25 is a little piece of history for the Xbox fans but owning that piece of history is going to cost you. According to a report from Billbil-kun on X, the Xbox Series X25 limited edition console will cost $899.99 in the US, and the same amount in euros for Europe. That puts it at $100 more than the disc model that comes in black, which was initially much cheaper before the price increases. The 2TB Galaxy Black model was also $799.99 before Microsoft stopped production on it.
In other words, the Xbox Series X25 model is the most expensive Series X hardware to date. In addition to the price, the leak also states that the console will hit store shelves on November 27. This is one week after the original launch back in 2020.
