Empire State Realty Trust (ESRT) announced two office leases totaling nearly 120,000 square feet at its office properties in Midtown Manhattan. Gerson Lehman Group, Inc. (GLG), a financial and global information services consulting company, renewed its two-floor, 77,382-square-foot lease at One Grand Central Place, while AI-based HR platform Workday renewed and expanded to 39,069 square feet at the Empire State Building.Â
Both companies are longtime ESRT tenants. GLG moved into One Grand Central Place at 60 E. 42nd St. in 2013; Workday leased its first prebuilt suite there in 2015 before moving to the Empire State at 350 Fifth Ave.
TJ Hochanadel, Robert Martin, Dan Santagata and Paul Kauffman of JLL represented GLG in leasing negotiations. Jordan Berger, Shanae Ursini and Kerry Lavelle of ESRT and Scott Klau, William Cohen, Erik Harris, and Neil Rubin of Newmark represented the landlord.
In the Workday deal, Harry Blair, Rob Lowe and Paige Engeldrum of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant. Berger, Ursini and Lavelle again represented ownership.
