Garmin has launched the Fenix 9 series smartwatch as its latest offering for users who seek a feature-rich smartwatch that’s geared specifically for outdoor adventures, not unlike the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The Fenix 9 comes in three different models, with three available sizes and a wide variety of colors for users to choose from. For sizes, you’ll be able to pick the Fenix 9 up in a 43mm size, a 47mm size, or a 51mm size.
For models, there’s the Fenix 9 base model, and then the Fenix 9 Pro and the Fenix 9 Pro – Solar. Garmin doesn’t offer every color in every size or model. For example, the Titanium with Autumn Orange and the Spark Orange Silicone Band is only offered in the 47mm size of the Fenix 9 Pro model. While the base model only has two color choices: Titanium with a Pebble Gray Silicone band, or Titanium with a Fog Gray Silicone band. Color and size choices aside, all the Fenix 9 models are designed to deliver long-lasting battery life, high-performance GPS functionality, and several different features and apps that cater to outdoor sports and exercise activities. They also come with a very hefty price tag.
The Garmin Fenix 9 starts at a base price of $999.99
Garmin’s Fenix smartwatches have always been high-performance sport watch options that offer many features that other smartwatches do not. Those extra functions come at a cost. In the case of the Fenix 9 series, the base model starts at $999.99. The price stays the same for the 47mm, but goes up to $1,099.99 for the 51mm.
The Pro model, meanwhile, starts at $1,099.99, with the 51mm costing $1,199.99. Finally, the Pro – Solar model starts at $1,099.99 as well, but it doesn’t come in the 43mm size, and it goes up to $1,199.99 for the 51mm.
What you’re getting for that price is features like up to 16 days of battery life, which can be extended up to 21 days with the Pro -Solar model, and that model can further extend battery life up to 34 days if you’re actually using the solar charging function. All three models are 10ATM-rated as well. Garmin is introducing a new feature with Garmin Epic, which lets you group activities together to tell a story of your series of activities.
