The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will get some of the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera features, according to a new report. The information comes from Lanzuk, a tipster, who published the info on Naver.
Samsung will push some of the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera features to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
He said that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will “inherit key camera features of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.” He did talk about the features themselves, so this is not just a general statement.
The tipster claims the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will support video LUTs for professional color grading. It will also offer improved low-light performance and enhanced image processing that Samsung offers.
Several camera-focused software features are also coming. That includes dual-video recording, using both front and rear cameras. That’s basically everything he noted.
The interesting thing is that some previous leaks suggested that no major camera hardware upgrades are coming to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The phone is expected to keep the same 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera.
Well, granted, the phone will get an improved ultrawide camera, but the other two will stay the same, it would seem. Nothing has been confirmed just yet in that regard, though, so it remains to be seen.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is coming on July 22 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and the company’s smartwatches.
The Android Headlines Take
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may not be the best camera smartphone on the market, but it does have some really useful camera features. It’s nice to see that at least some of them will be making their way to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
One of the main complaints when it comes to foldables these days is the fact they’re inferior to their regular smartphone counterparts in terms of camera performance. The difference does tend to be quite noticeable for some devices.
