We exclusively revealed the design of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 yesterday. Alongside with that watch, Samsung is also planning to announce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, which just popped up online.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 renders reveal the design of Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartwatch
Its renders have been shared by Evan Blass. As many of you know, last year we got the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic; the ‘Ultra’ name was not used by Samsung. Well, this year, the company will use it very much.
If you check out the gallery below, you’ll see the design of the watch itself. Samsung is sticking with the round display and the oval shape of the watch body itself. It’s an odd but recognizable approach.
Much like on the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, this smartwatch will include three buttons on the right side. The middle button will be round, and it will double as a rotating crown. The Galaxy Watch 9, on the other hand, will have two buttons on the right, without the rotating crown.
Two colors are coming
Both of the watch’s colors are shown here: Titanium Gray and Titanium Silver. Those are, at least, the rumored colors that surfaced recently. What we’re seeing here does fit the description.
If you were hoping for more lively colors, well, you’re out of luck. You’ll, of course, be able to change the strap and spice things up. In terms of the watch body colors, however, you’re stuck with these two.
Samsung is sticking with a dual-buckle design that was used on the original Galaxy Watch Ultra in 2024. You can also see the heart rate sensor on the back of the watch and dual speakers as well.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will support both GPS and LTE, and it will feature a 47mm case. It will also offer 10ATM water resistance, just like its predecessor did.
Other rumored details claim that the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip will be used, along with 2GB of RAM and an 800mAh battery. Bluetooth 6.0 will be supported as well, as will Wi-Fi 6, UWB, and more.
It’s coming next month alongside Samsung’s foldables
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is expected to launch in July, alongside the Galaxy Watch 9, and the company’s three new foldable phones.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is a clear continuation of the Galaxy Watch Ultra design from two years ago, though some users may miss the ‘Classic’ model this time around. Samsung opted to jump back to the ‘Ultra’ in 2026, so who knows, we may get the ‘Classic’ again in 2027. The company seems to be committed to two launches per year, and that’s not surprising. We enjoyed our time with last year’s models, so let’s see what the new ones will offer.
