Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra CADs Leak Ahead of IFA, and Not Much Is Changing

This is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, and it looks a lot like the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, unsurprisingly.

Onleaks and Smartphone Checker have just posted the first set of CADs of the new Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, which we are expecting to see released at IFA in September. This is very unlikely to launch at Unpacked next week, especially considering we are just now getting the CADs.

Samsung is keeping the notch for the front-facing camera, unfortunately. So that rumored redesign of the front of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is apparently not happening.

The dimensions for the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra are 326.3 x 208.5 x 5.1mm, which is almost exactly the same dimensions as the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. This shows us that there is not much changing here, except a new chip and maybe some RAM and storage options.

Right now, most of these are just rumors, but the Galaxy S12 Ultra is expected to have a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz display. Likely the same panel as last year’s model.

Samsung is once again using MediaTek to power the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra with the Dimensity 9500 chipset. So far, this doesn’t appear to be an overclocked version, as Samsung has used in the past. It will also come with 12GB of RAM and at least 256GB of storage. Samsung will likely also sell a 512GB and 1TB model, possibly with 16GB of RAM on one of them.

It’s sticking with the same 11,600mAh capacity battery and 45W charging. And it’s going to launch with Android 17 and One UI 9, which we expect to see debut with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 next week.

Samsung has typically launched its flagship tablets at or around IFA in September. We’re expecting that same sort of timeline again this year.
