Galaxy S26 FE Arrives with 7-Year Updates, One UI 9 and a $200 Amazon Gift Card Deal

The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is officially available worldwide, skipping the company’s traditional pre-order window. This “almost-flagship” device arrives in three distinct colorways: Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio.

The Galaxy S26 FE is built with an aluminum metal frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and rear panels. The chassis carries a full IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. On the front, the phone features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel offering Full HD+ resolution, an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG support, a peak brightness of 1,900 nits, and an optical in-display fingerprint reader.

Exynos performance, full Galaxy AI, and long-term software support

Under the hood, the global variant of the Galaxy S26 FE runs on Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. The phone marks a milestone for the brand as the first device to launch straight out of the box running Android 17 layered with One UI 9.0.

Samsung is bundling its full suite of Galaxy AI tools into the device. The list includes Audio Eraser, Browsing Assist, Call Assist, Creative Studio, Health Assist, Interpreter, My FanCam, Note Assist, Notification Highlights, Now Brief, Now Nudge, Photo Assist, Transcript Assist, Weather Wallpaper, Nightography, and Writing Assist. Samsung promises seven generations of Android OS upgrades alongside seven full years of security patches.

Optics and power endurance

The rear camera island of the Galaxy S26 FE houses three distinct lenses. It sports a 50MP main shooter with OIS and 8K video recording at 30fps, a 12MP fixed-focus ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto camera with PDAF and OIS. Up front, a 12MP camera handles selfies, with all lenses supporting 4K video recording at 60fps.

A 4,900mAh battery supporting 45W wired fast charging keeps the lights on. You’ll also find 15W Qi2-ready wireless charging, Wireless DeX, Samsung Pay, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB 2.0 Type-C connectivity.

Pricing, regional availability, and launch deals

The Galaxy S26 FE is officially available for purchase starting today. The base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration starts at $699.99 in the US (£699 in the UK and €799 across most European countries). Moving up, the 256GB storage variant costs $799.99 (£799 / €899), while a top-tier 512GB option is available in the UK (£949) and Europe (€1,099). The 512GB model is skipping the US market.

Samsung US delayed updating its official online storefront at launch. However, early buyers can already catch aggressive retail promotions. If you buy it on Amazon before September 20, you’re also getting a free $200 gift card. Samsung also has trade-in offers worth up to $600 for old or broken devices.
