
- Scott Florio has joined Newmark as Regional Project Management Leader for Florida. Based in Orlando, Florio will establish and lead Newmark’s Project Management presence across Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville, while leveraging Newmark’s statewide business and relationships to support clients throughout Florida, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Naples and Fort Myers. He will collaborate with brokers and professionals across the state to deliver integrated capital project solutions for occupiers, developers and investors. Most recently, he served as Director of Project Management for CBRE | Turner & Townsend’s North Florida Region.
- The Palomar Group brokered the sale of Port Orange Plaza, a retail shopping center located in Port Orange, Florida. Port Orange Plaza is anchored by Human-Conviva Care Center and Modern Concepts, and sits along S Ridgewood Ave, a corridor that sees more than 52,000 vehicles per day. The center was 81% occupied at closing, with in-place rents below market, offering the incoming ownership a clear value-add opportunity. The seller was M&P Shopping Centers.
- WareSpace, an operator of micro-bay warehouse space, spent $20 million on industrial acquisitions in Miami Gardens, Florida. The 100,000-square-foot property will be converted into flexible warehouse units, expected to serve more than 125 small businesses, along one of Miami-Dade County’s busiest commercial corridors. WareSpace will reposition the properties as flexible, move-in-ready warehouse units, typically ranging from 200 to 2,000 square feet.Â
- Miramar Park of Commerce, the largest locally owned and managed business park in South Florida, reports the company has closed more than 330,000 square feet of healthcare-related lease renewals so far in 2026. Miramar Park of Commerce is home to a healthcare hub of more than 30 healthcare and life sciences companies.Â
