We have another treat for you today, following the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 images that we’ve shared earlier today. This time around, we’re bringing you the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 official renders.
Check out the official Galaxy Z Flip 8 renders in three color variants
If you take a look at the gallery below this paragraph, you’ll be able to see the device itself. It is not only shown from all angles, but you also get to see all three official colors that the phone is coming in.
Those three colors, just to be clear, are Cream, Graphite, and Pink. The phone is also rumored to have a Mint color variant, but we don’t have that one. That could be a Samsung exclusive or something like that; we’re not sure, presuming that rumors are accurate.
The Graphite color seems to be the gray color, while the Cream color is essentially white. The last one is Pink, and that one is self-explanatory.
It looks very similar to its predecessor
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 looks very similar to its predecessor, as expected. Initial CAD-based renders did point in that direction, and these official renders only confirm as much.
The main display, which folds right down the middle, has a centered display camera hole up top, and thin, uniform bezels, which are raised for protection purposes when folding. The power/lock and volume up and down buttons sit on the right-hand side of the phone.
If we flip it around, you’ll notice a cover display, which takes up half of the phone’s back. When you fold it, it takes up basically the entire front side, minus the cameras. Speaking of which, the two horizontally-aligned cameras sit in the top-left corner.
Those cameras have the same positioning as on the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the same goes for the LED flash next to them. The two cameras sit right inside the cover display, not outside of it. The frame of the phone is once again flat.
As a side note, you can also check out some of the official Galaxy Z Flip 8 cases, if you’re interested.
Rumored specs
When it comes to specs, we can’t confirm any of them, but rumors have been swirling. The phone is tipped to arrive in two processor variants (market-dependent), one utilizing the Exynos 2600 chip, and the other the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy.
We’re guessing that Samsung will utilize 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM here, along with UFS 4.0 or UFS 4.1 flash storage. The device is rumored to weigh 180 grams, so it will be slightly lighter than its predecessor.
A 4,300mAh battery was also mentioned, and so has 25W wired charging. The same 50-megapixel main camera from the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected, and the same goes for a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera. It remains to be seen how accurate those rumors are, though.
We’re also guessing that Samsung will stick with a 6.9-inch Foldable Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X main panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display will likely measure 4.1 inches, and it will be a Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
When is it coming?
Samsung has scheduled its second Unpacked event of the year for July 22. That’s the date the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will launch, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
