Motorola’s wide foldable is coming, and we’ve already shared plenty of information about it. A while back, we shared sketches of its possible design, and earlier today, the specs of the device were shared.

We still don’t have official renders or images, but in order to give you a better idea of what may be coming, and have some fun along the way, we created some concept images, aka mockups, to share with you.
It’s very important to note these are not official images and are not based on official design. What we based them on are the aforementioned sketches, specs, and even the current design language that Motorola offers via the Razr Fold and Signature 27 phones.
While this does not represent the final design of the device, it should be close to it. You can check out the mockups we mentioned throughout the article.
We do know the exact dimensions of the phone, which helped with representing the size accurately
It is worth noting that thanks to the specs we received, we know exactly what the dimensions of the phone will be. It will measure 110 x 149 x 5.8mm when open, and 110 x 76 x 12.6mm when closed.
That basically reveals that Motorola’s wide foldable will be notably shorter and narrower than the Galaxy Z Fold 8. So fi you handled Samsung’s first wide foldable and still consider it’s too tall and/or wide, you may be interested in what Motorola has to offer. Motorola’s phone will also have notably rounder corners in comparison to the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
It will, however, be considerably thicker than Samsung’s wide foldable at 12.6mm when folded. That will be a difference that you’ll notice, as it’s not exactly small. We’re looking at a 2.9mm difference in thickness here.
Its displays will be smaller than the one on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the whole phone will be as well
The inner display will, despite the size decrease, still be a good size when unfolded. It will measure 6.92 inches, which is smaller than the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s 7.6 inches. The cover display will measure 4.97 inches, so it will be quite compact.
The colors of these mockups are also based on the information we received. We do know that the phone will arrive in PANTONE Coriander and PANTONE Dark Botanical Garden colors.
In plain words, these are basically a beige color and a dark green color. The green one, in particular, managed to catch our attention, as it does look great in these concept images.
There will be a horizontal camera bar on the back
The phone will feature a horizontal camera bar on the back, with two cameras inside it. That camera bar will protrude from the back. The buttons will be placed on the right-hand side of the phone and will sit quite high up, which is not surprising considering the size of the device.
Now, there will be a display camera hole centered on the cover display. The bezels around the device are actually expected to be uniform. That part is slightly misrepresented in the provided images, so keep that in mind.
There will also be a display camera hole on the main panel, in the top-right corner. The bezels around that display will also be uniform.
The phone is expected to arrive towards the end of the year
At the moment, the launch target for the device is mid-December. That could change, however, as it’s not yet set in stone.
