Back in July, the Galaxy Able earbuds surfaced, Samsung’s first-ever clip-on earbuds. Well, we can now confirm the design of those earbuds, along with the name the company will use… it’s not the Galaxy Able.
Here’s the design of Samsung’s first-ever clip-on earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On
The new earbuds will be called the Samsung Galaxy Buds On, as one of the rumors suggested. You can check out their design in the gallery below, as we have two images to share with you. The design is clearly shown here, as is their fit when in use.
Much like a number of other models that we’ve seen from other OEMs, these clip to your ear on two sides. Think of this product as earbud earrings, of sorts. The main part, with the speaker, goes on the inside of your ear, while the rest is attached to the outer part of it.
You’ll notice that one side of the Galaxy On earbuds is wider; that’s the one that goes into your ear. You can also see a microphone on these, as you’ll be able to conduct calls using them, of course.
Samsung will allegedly use open-ear air conduction tech
These will allegedly use open-ear air conduction, which is something mentioned in previous rumors and leaks. We cannot confirm that. This essentially means they’ll use air conduction tech to direct the sound into your ears through the edges of the ear canal.
It is also rumored that users will be able to nod their head or shake it in order to initiate certain actions. We don’t know what yet, but those gestures could be customizable.
They will allegedly also be able to automatically adjust the volume when necessary. If you enter a noisier environment, the earbuds will be able to turn up the volume. That’s just an example, of course.
You’ll be able to trigger voice assistant(s) as well
You’ll also be able to trigger voice assistants via these earbuds. We’re guessing that both Gemini and Bixby will be an option. They’ll also be able to detect when you fall asleep and pause playback, if rumors are to be believed.
