The CMF Phone 3 Pro is right around the corner, and we do have some exclusive information to share with you. We’ll talk a bit about the phone’s specs, and then about its design. There are no official renders here or anything, though, but there’s plenty to go over still.
Let’s first mention that this phone will succeed the CMF Phone 2 Pro, which arrived on April 28 last year. So this one is expected to launch either by the end of this month or in May. There is no launch date yet.
Here are some CMF Phone 3 Pro specifications
Let’s kick things off with specs, shall we? Based on the information provided to us, the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. So, Nothing is pivoting from MediaTek to Qualcomm with this version. Last year’s model used the Dimensity 7300 Pro chip.
When it comes to its battery, the typical capacity is 5,090mAh. The advertised capacity will be higher than that. Our source seems to think it will be around 5,400-5,500mAh; it remains to be seen. Either way, it will be higher than the 5,000mAh unit the CMF Phone 2 Pro includes.
It will offer a bigger battery and faster charging
Faster charging will also be on offer. The CMF Phone 3 Pro will support 45W wired charging, compared to 33W charging of its predecessor. That phone also supported 5W reverse wired charging. We don’t have information regarding that feature in the new model, but it’ll probably be there.
As for the display, we’re not sure about the exact size, but it will offer a 2392 x 1080 resolution, and it will be an AMOLED display with a punch hole selfie camera. That camera will be centered up top.
There’s one more upgrade that the source mentioned, and that’s a metal frame. The CMF Phone 2 Pro has a plastic frame, so this change is definitely nice to see.
Some changes on the back are coming, despite the same design style
The source also supplied a comically bad, hand-drawn sketch of the back of the phone, just to show us some changes in positioning. You can see it below. He says that the position of the flash has changed, and the third camera is positioned further from the two vertically-aligned cameras on the left.
