Even Realities is giving its Even G2 smart glasses a fresh look and a major brain upgrade. The company just announced a new Brown 2 colorway, two new accessories, and its biggest software update since April. The Even G2 works with both iPhones and Android phones through the Even app.
The new Brown 2 colorway features a tortoiseshell-inspired design with warm tones, and each pair has a unique pattern. It’s made of acetate, with the pattern running through the entire frame. Even Realities says this makes Brown 2 the lightest Even G2 yet, while keeping the same fit, balance, and display clarity as other models. That’s pretty impressive, since the other Even G2 models are already very lightweight.
There are two new accessories too. The Even G2 Polarized Sun Clips offer 100% UVA/UVB protection to cut glare in bright sunlight. They have mirrored gray lenses, with dedicated designs for both Frame A and Frame B. The Even G2 Chain is a lightweight stainless steel chain that lets you hang the glasses around your neck between wears. It’s aimed at non-prescription users who take their glasses on and off throughout the day, and it keeps the same understated look as the glasses themselves.
Even G2’s software update adds memory
The bigger news is the software. The new Even V2.4.0 update gives the Even G2 a memory that you build and control.
It starts with Knowledge Base. You can import past Conversate sessions or upload files, and the glasses organize everything into a visual Knowledge Tree of connected topics. You decide what to add, update, or remove.
Even AI 2.0 then draws on your Knowledge Base to give more relevant answers. It keeps context across follow-up questions, and you can pick up previous conversations without starting over.
AI Cue Expert Mode acts as a conversation expert right in your field of view. During a sales call, interview, or class, it can surface relevant information, flag unanswered questions, and suggest next steps. There’s also Conversate Pro Mode and Insights, now in beta. It goes beyond meeting summaries by highlighting priorities, potential risks, and recommended next steps, with each insight linked to the moment in the conversation it came from. There’s also finally a dark mode option.
The Even G2 is part of a growing group of camera-free smart glasses, an approach that sidesteps many privacy concerns around camera glasses. While Google is going big with Android XR and glasses like XREAL’s AURA, Even Realities is focused on subtle glasses you’d actually want to wear all day. Giving them a memory of your work and conversations could make them far more useful, especially for professionals. The key will be how well Even Realities handles privacy for all that personal data.
