DXOMark has put out its camera review of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, and while it did well, it didn’t do as well as you’d probably expect. The Find X9 Ultra scored 170, which does put it tied for third place with the vivo X300 Ultra. Behind the vivo X300 Pro and Huawei Pura 80 Ultra, surprisingly.
Despite boasting two 200MP sensors, including one that’s a 3x telephoto, and a separate 10x telephoto camera, it couldn’t take the top spot.
DXOMark says that it delivered “strong overall performance in both photo and video, with its main strengths being detail preservation, noise control, portrait bokeh, and long-range zoom performance. The camera is capable of producing consistent results across a wide range of conditions, while its main limitations become more apparent in challenging low-light and high-dynamic-range scenes.
OPPO Find X9 Ultra excelled in Photo tests
In the photo tests, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra excelled, scoring 175, putting it just below the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra. Video is where it really suffered, scoring the lowest of the top five phones – unsurprisingly, the iPhone 17 Pro Max scored the highest with 172. The Find X9 Ultra had a video score of 161.
But the fact that the scores of these top five phones are so close together shows that you really can’t go wrong with any of these phones when it comes to photos. Android phones still have some work to do when it comes to video, as the iPhone is still far and away the best in that regard.
One thing to keep in mind is that DXOMark offers a package for OEMs to get help optimizing their cameras to score higher on its tests. So take this with a grain of salt; however, based on my testing of all the phones listed, DXOMark did a great job scoring them.
