The 2025 BMW M5 was no exception, as enthusiasts quickly zoned in on the car’s weight, which is significantly higher than the previous generation due to the addition of a plug-in hybrid system. We can empathize with shoppers who complain about new cars getting bigger, heavier, and less connected, but it’s hard to argue that they aren’t also getting faster, more refined, and more efficient.
