This severe incident happened just after 3 p.m. near Bluff View, south of the community of Friant. According to officials, the driver in the Corvette Stingray was speeding before losing control on a curve. The vehicle slid hundreds of feet across the asphalt before violently overturning.

Speeding Causes Severe Crash Despite Fair Weather
Thankfully, this Corvette C8 did not burst into flames. However, the sports car was completely flattened during the violent rollover. First responders arrived at the chaotic crash scene under clear skies. Local weather records show it was sunny and fair around the time of the accident. Therefore, the weather must not have been a factor in this crash. Paramedics immediately transported the injured motorist to a local hospital. The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and is receiving intensive care.
The California Highway Patrol released an official statement regarding the terrifying incident. Officers confirmed that the driver wore a seatbelt during the accident. They also officially ruled out driving under the influence as a contributing factor. The agency noted on social media that this horrific crash serves as a stark reminder of driving dangers. They firmly stated that excessive speed caused the vehicle to slide and flip.
