Over the past 7-8 years, I have been writing devotional-type articles on specific Bible passages, with just over 1,900 now. Starting in January of 2026, I will be transitioning to something new. I will be writing a series of articles that will eventually cover every chapter in the Bible (Protestant canon). This will start on January 1, beginning with Matthew and working through the New Testament in 2026, with the Old Testament to follow in subsequent years. This should take about 5 years to complete, with a new chapter released each workday.

Developing a Habit of Reading the Bible
This project is in collaboration with an initiative of LifePoint Church of the Nazarene, my home church, encouraging our members to develop the habit of daily Bible reading. What is produced here is also being made available to them in a slightly different format.
A word of warning. I am not a trained theologian. So if you are looking for an in-depth commentary on the Scripture, you will be disappointed in this. The intent of this chapter-by-chapter journey through the Bible is to provide a high-level overview of each chapter. This is also not a substitute for actually reading the Scripture. It is intended as a supplement that will hopefully provide some insight into each chapter for those who are new or relatively unfamiliar with what the Bible has to say.
