Back in early August, Bose unveiled its new QuietComfort 2nd Gen wireless headphones and then earlier this month, it revealed its new wireless open earbuds, and now it’s taking things back to a wired state with the new Wired Noise Cancelling earbuds.
As the name suggests, these come with active noise cancellation so you can block out the noise from the world around you, but without having these connect wirelessly to your device, so you don’t have to worry about them draining battery life from it. You won’t even have to worry about your phone not having a 3.5mm audio jack anymore, because these connect with a USB-C cable. Aside from the noise cancellation, these earbuds present users with something they won’t get from Bose or anyone else through a wireless pair of earbuds or headphones, and that’s a simplified plug and play experience.
The Bose noise cancelling wired earbuds are priced at $99.99
When you look at Bose’s two most recent pairs of true wireless earbuds, they’re priced at $299 and $199. The new noise cancelling wired earbuds are $99.99, making them way more affordable and a lot less of a hurdle to acquire for some consumers.
Bose says these will start shipping to buyers on October 15, with pre-orders available now. They come in three different colors, which are Black, White Smoke, and Dewdrop Mint. Although Bose also clarifies that the Dewdrop Mint is a limited edition color.
On-cable controls allow you to adjust volume and skip tracks, and there’s a button for enabling and disabling the ANC as well. Plus, the cable is 4.2 feet long which is plenty of slack to make sure it’s long enough to use with most devices. These are also IPX4-rated and they come with a zippered carry case to store them when the earbuds aren’t in use.
