Huawei decided to make quite a splash at this year’s IFA 2026 in Berlin. The company announced a bunch of devices, though we believe its smartwatches stole the show. To be more accurate, the Huawei Watch D3 and Huawei Watch GT 7 series are the ones that caught our eye the most. Those are three devices in total, and I’ve already reviewed the Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro, in case you’re interested.
The Huawei Watch D3 is a medical-grade blood pressure monitoring device
I’ve also had some time with the Huawei Watch D3 thus far, and that watch is quite special for one specific reason, even though it’s a great watch overall. We simply had to hand out one of our IFA 2026 awards to Huawei for these products. The company also has a very compelling new mid-range phone, new tablet, and new earbuds to offer, but these smartwatches kind of stole the show in our eyes.
Let’s start with the Huawei Watch D3. This is not only a smartwatch, but a medical-grade blood pressure monitoring device. It has an inflatable airbag cuff tech for accurate wrist-based readings. It’s slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, and that’s something you definitely notice. It’s the first thing I noticed when I started using it. It also comes with advanced features including ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), Health Glance, and Health Insights. It’s a health-monitoring machine.
The Huawei Watch GT 7 series is built for the outdoors and has outstanding battery life
The Huawei Watch GT 7 series is built for the outdoors. These watches have outstanding ingress protection and battery life. They just keep on going and going, and basically shame the competition in the battery life department. There are a ton of sports modes included, including advanced skiing and golf tracking modes, along with upgraded Health Insights and Physical Readiness scoring.

These are great offerings from Huawei, as the company’s smartwatches have become some of our favorite tech on the market. Handing out one of our IFA 2026 awards was a no-brainer here. There is also a compelling Huawei Watch 6 series that the company announced, which is definitely worth noting.
