Best Apple iPhone Duo Cases

Apple has two official cases for the iPhone Duo at the moment, the one mentioned here, and the iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand. While I’d personally go with the Folio case, probably, the iPhone Duo Case is the better call for the vast majority of people. It will add more grip to the phone, and it’s more… well, like a regular case.

It’s a two-part case which is thin and light, and offers good protection all around. It has built-in magnets, so you can charge the phone wirelessly, and it’s made from polycarbonate. Apple did include matte coating on top, though. The case comes in Sand and Navy Blue colors. The other mentioned case is a snap-on case (magnets), and while it does have a kickstand, most people will probably lean towards this one.

In addition to a regular case for the phone, the Folio with Kickstand case is also available for the iPhone Duo directly from Apple. This case comes in Navy Blue and Taupe colors, and it offers full cover display protection when not in use. It also has a kickstand on the back, in case you end up needing it.

This a TechWoven case, in case you’re wondering about the materials. That’s a “custom technical fabric”, says Apple. The case comes with built-in magnets, so it’s compatible with wireless charging and MagSafe accessories. This case is very thin, and it snaps on the device via magnets, so keep that in mind.

Nomad announced several leather cases for the iPhone Duo, and the Traditional Leather Folio is probably the best option for most people. It’s made of Horween leather, and even though it won’t ship before November 16, it’s a great option to consider if you want to grab a leather case for the iPhone Duo. It’s made of premium leather.

This case completely covers the cover display when not in use, as it’s a folio case. It also offers good camera protection, and magnets are built in. There are also a couple of spots for cards on the inside of the case, in case you need them. It comes in three different colors: Black, Saddle, and Rustic Brown.

Pitaka’s Edge Case is an ultra-thin case made of aramid fiber. It’s immensely thin, and yet quite tough. It comes in several different colors, including: Midnight, California Dream, Black/Grey (Twill), and Sunset. Yes, magnets are included on the inside despite its thinness.

This case does add grip to the phone, quite a bit, actually. It has interesting backplates, as each color looks different and has its own theme. Pitaka used aerospace-grade aramid fiber here. The case weighs only 19.1 grams, while it’s 1.3mm thick.

OtterBox has a rugged case for the iPhone Duo, the Defender Series Pro XT Case. This case comes with great camera, display, buttons, and hinge protection… though it is quite chunky. OtterBox also says that it protects against dust, to a certain degree, and magnets are built into it.

There are port covers included, henge the dust claim. The case also adds grip to the phone, quite a bit of it, actually. It’s made mostly out of TPU, and it comes in three colors: Adomania Purple, Black, and Witherwill Blue.

The Nomad Mag Leather Back is the most minimalist case on the list, and the most minimalist we’ve seen. This is essentially just a back cover that snaps on the back of the iPhone Duo. It does offer camera protection, and you can freely place the phone on the table, but that’s it. It does not wrap around the phone, or anything like that.

That automatically means that its sides are not protected either. Some people really appreciate the minimalism here, as they’re getting more grip, no bulk, and protected back of the phone. This one also comes with Horween leather, and it’s available in three colors: Black, Saddle, and Rustic Brown. This one will ship by December 7.

Spigen has a really great case for the iPhone Duo, which includes a kickstand, but it’s quite expensive. You’ll have to part with $99.99 in order to buy this one. It offers great camera, display, button, and hinge protection, though. There are also magnets built into it, as the kickstand doubles as a magnet.

Speaking of which, you’ll notice a circular kickstand on the back of the case, which pops out when you need it to. The hinge protection is quite considerable, and so is the camera protection. Spigen’s drop protection ‘Air Cushion Technology’ is included, and the aforementioned kickstand can rotate 360 degrees.

If you’re looking for a clear case for the iPhone Duo, there are not many choices out there at this point. However, OtterBox has an interesting one. Its Lumen Series case is not yet available, but it’s coming soon, the company says. You can already subscribe on the website, if you want.

This is a two-piece case, which protects the hinge as well. Raised edges on it protect the camera and the screen, while the case itself is scratch resistant. Magnets are built-in as well, in case you’re wondering. This case is not cheap, though, it will cost you $69.99 if you want it.
