AWOL Vision has just announced a new ultra-short-throw projector at IFA 2026, and this one is special. AWOL Vision says that this is the world’s first 4K 120Hz UST with optical shift.

This new projector is joining the AWOL Atherion series of products, which are the company’s ultra-short-throw projectors. The name of the projector is the AWOL LuxVision, and as mentioned, it’s special.
This projector combines 6,000 ISO lumens, RGB triple-laser projection, a 0.18:1 throw ratio, and support for screen sizes up to 200 inches. AWOL Visions says it delivers “flagship-grade, large-format home entertainment in one seamless experience.”
This projector is capable of processing nearly one billion pixels every second to be able to provide 4K at 120 FPS. For gamers, that speak pairs with 1ms input lag, ALLM, VRR, and Dolby Vision gaming.
It has all the ports you’ll need
There are also three HDMI 2.1 ports included here, along with a DisplayPort and a 4-channel HDMI Multiview. So you can easily bring multiple screens and sources into play.
This projector also has 110% Rec. 202 coverage, Dynamic Tone Mapping, and a 7-level dynamic IRIS fine-tune color, contrast, and light scene by scene. Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhance, FilmMaker Mode, and 3D support are here to “deepen the cinematic experience across every type of content.”
AWOL Vision’s second-gen Anti-RBE technology is used here, and it combines an optimized algorithm that covers all formats with TÜV Harmful Light Reduction. This minimizes visible rainbow artifacts and visual fatigue for cleaner, more comfortable viewing across 2D and 3D content.
Its design is inspired by the Parthenon, and it’s quite pricey
The inspiration for the design of the AWOL LuxVision has been the Parthenon. It’s trying to look a bit modern, though, so that it belongs in basically every room.
AWOL Vision said that the AWOL LuxVision will become available “around October,” so we don’t have an exact release date yet. The projector is priced at $6,499 / €5,999 / £4,999.
