Let’s be honest: traditional business laptops are usually pretty boring. They focus so much on spreadsheets and corporate security that they often forget about actual usability and speed. Fortunately, the new ASUS ExpertBook lineup announced at Computex 2026 aims to break that mold. Taking the stage at the global tech showcase in Taipei, the company just pulled back the curtain on its next generation of commercial hardware. We are getting a super flexible 360-degree convertible and two high-performance workhorses that split the difference between Intel and AMD’s newest silicon.
ASUS ExpertBook B5 Flip G2: A convertible laptop that actually moves with you
Does your daily routine involve jumping from a coffee shop table to a cramped lecture hall? Well, the new ASUS ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 is designed to catch your eye. Thanks to its 360-degree flippable hinge, you can instantly throw it into laptop, tablet, or tent modes depending on what you are doing. ASUS wrapped the whole thing in a sleek, Gentle Gray aluminum chassis that weighs just 2.9 pounds and measures a mere 0.58 inches thin. It is light enough to forget it is even in your backpack.
What makes this convertible stand out is how it handles collaboration. It features a dual-camera setup and an integrated, quick-charging stylus that sits right inside the body. If you are in the middle of a meeting and need to sketch an idea, you just pop the pen out. When you slide it back in, a quick 15-second charge gives you a full hour of active note-taking. Powering the experience is an Intel Core 7 processor with integrated graphics, up to 32GB of snappy RAM, and a 1TB SSD—plenty of power to keep your tabs open without lagging.
ExpertBook P5 and PM5 G2: The Intel vs. AMD battle
There’s also something for professionals who need raw, unfiltered computing power rather than a flipping screen. The commercial portfolio ASUS showed at Computex 2026 includes the 14-inch and 16-inch ExpertBook P5 and PM5 G2 series. This is where things get interesting because ASUS is letting you choose your favorite silicon camp.
If you are on the Intel team, the ExpertBook P5 G2 runs on the premium Series 3 Intel Core Ultra 7 processor. It features a neural engine pushing 50 NPU TOPS, making it incredibly fast at crunching complex automated tasks.
On the other hand, AMD fans can opt for the ExpertBook PM5 G2, which relies on the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX chip. This processor pushes the boundaries even further with 55 NPU TOPS of dedicated neural acceleration.
Both of these chip families blast past the 40 TOPS threshold, so they enable full Windows Copilot+ capabilities. That means you get blazing-fast file searches and instant real-time language translations without waiting for a cloud server to respond. To keep these engines running smoothly during long work sessions, ASUS designed an upgraded ExpertCool thermal system that pushes heat away efficiently whether the laptop lid is open or closed.
Tough builds and local smarts
ASUS also made sure these machines can handle the occasional accidental drop by building them to meet strict military-grade durability standards. On the digital side, they threw in their ExpertGuardian security package. Security-wise, an attack-resistant BIOS with physical webcam shutters and power-button fingerprint scanners.
Finally, the software side introduces MyExpert, a built-in AI platform that acts like a local digital assistant. It can help you draft emails, look up documents inside your network, and actively filter out distracting background noise during video calls. If you want to record one of these new setups, the standard P5 and PM5 models are hitting the US market late in Q2, with the adaptable B5 Flip convertible following close behind in Q3.
