When you think of luxury cars, unless it’s a Lexus, of course, the first thing that might come to mind, particularly if you’re a thrifty shopper, is just how high-maintenance and unreliable they can sometimes be. Maybe not brand-new, but give it a few years, and you won’t just get stung with pretty heavy depreciation, but there’s also burdensome reliability issues, not to mention eye-wateringly expensive ownership and upkeep costs. Own a Maserati Quattroporte or a Mercedes-Benz S-Class long enough, and that much becomes crystal clear. However, does that logic apply to every luxury brand, and what about America’s premier VIP-mobile, Cadillac? Are Cadillacs reliable?
