Apple’s annual hardware event is almost here. We’ll be witnessing the unveiling of the iPhone 18 Pro series, the first foldable, or as rumors refer to it, the iPhone Ultra, and new wearables. It doesn’t seem like that’ll be all, as a new report from Bloomberg outlines Apple will unveil a total of eight new products at the September event. Here’s what we know.
Apple will reportedly announce eight new products at its September event
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his latest Power On newsletter says the main attraction at the event will be the foldable iPhone. But besides that, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch 4 will also be on the agenda. This much is already reported. Based on what he heard, Mark Gurman adds that the new Apple TV box, HomePod mini 2, and HomePad/HomePod Touch will also be ready this fall.
It seems like Apple is kicking off its major new smart home push alongside the iPhones. It does make sense, though. Especially since the September event gets more attention than other product announcements.
No mention of AirPods with cameras
Besides these, Apple’s first smart home hub is reportedly slated for a release between October and early next year. But the company might offer a preview of the product at its September event. So we’ll probably learn or get a glimpse of it next month. Gurman also adds a revamped iPad mini is coming this fall. However, he groups it with the products that’re likely coming in October, like the M6 Pro MacBook Pro.
However, Gurman didn’t mention anything about AirPods with cameras, a third-gen HomePod, or a security camera. We’ve heard about these in past reports from Gurman, and they fit well at the iPhone event. It looks like the Cuppertino tech giant is pushing them to a later date. We’ll probably know more about their release timeline in the coming days.
