Part of the appeal of a clamshell foldable, like the Motorola Razr series, is being able to use it even when it’s in its smallest form. For example, you can run apps, check notifications, take selfies, and more. Normally, this also includes making calls while connected to Android Auto, but users have been experiencing issues recently.
Both Motorola and Google are investigating an issue with Android Auto. The issue in question concerns clamshell foldable owners who can’t make calls on their phones. Specifically, when the phone is closed, outgoing calls don’t work. However, incoming calls are unaffected by the device’s state.
