Shooting Brake
Alfa Romeo teased and subsequently unveiled its new concept, signaling a new design direction for the brand, and what a beauty it is. The concept takes what made cars like the Giulia memorable and modernizes it for a new era.
The 2026 Paris Motor Show gave us our first look at the Cuorerosso. After the Italian automaker under Stellantis unveiled the concept, it sparked quite a bit of interest, enough for people to even reimagine it as a shooting brake built on the dimensions of the Giulia.
The Render
Kelsonik made this render on Instagram, taking the dimensions of the Giulia sedan and integrating them with several design elements from the Cuorerosso concept. The front end is especially reminiscent of the concept, save for the LED dot matrix. The wheels were retained, as were the rear wheel arches that flow so effortlessly into the beltline.
The roof on the render looks more “normal” than the concept, and two additional doors make this a five-door. Speaking of which, the rear of the car follows the concept beautifully, but instead of that massive ducktail spoiler at the back, it trades that for a hatchback, and it looks awesome and apparently doable.

Alfa, Please.
If there is one thing that Alfa can take away from this render, it’s that the design of the Cuorerosso Concept will work on a shooting brake. The language translates nicely into this kind of body style. It still looks sleek; it still looks like an Alfa, and it’s reminiscent of one of my personal favorite Alfa Romeos of all time, the Brera.
If the Italian automaker made a hatchback as beautiful as the Brera, I implore its designers to do it again. It would be wild to see a shooting brake Quadrifoglio with a kick-ass powertrain under the hood, especially if it retained a lot of the concept’s stellar design elements. Hopefully Alfa Romeo iterates more beyond just a performance coupe, and hopefully the concept translates well into production versions.
