Samsung has just detailed its November 2026 Android security patch. The October 2026 security patch is still rolling out to some phones, and the same goes for the second October update that the company pushed out. Still, that doesn’t stop this month’s update from rearing its head.
Samsung’s November 2026 Android security patch delivers fixes for almost 180 vulnerabilities
The November 2026 Android security patch fixes almost 180 vulnerabilities across Android OS and Galaxy-specific software. 155 of those fixes come from Google, while Samsung added 24 of its own fixes to the equation.
Out of the 24 fixes that Samsung mentioned, 17 of them have been publicly disclosed. The remaining seven have been kept confidential for now.
20 critical problems have been sorted
All of these patches, from both companies, take care of 20 critical, 141 high, and 15 moderate severity vulnerabilities. All fixes for 20 critical issues come from Google, along with 134 high-severity fixes. 3 fixes for high-severity issues come from Samsung (Samsung MX), and 4 from Samsung Semiconductor.
When it comes to Samsung Semiconductor fixes, they target Exynos chipsets and modems. The remaining fixes from Samsung’s mobile division address issues in the bootloader, improper input validation, buffer overflows, unauthorized lock screen calling via widgets, SIM lock bypasses, Dialer, Contacts, Messages, and MKV media playback.
As usual, this update is all about fixes. There don’t seem to be new features included here, at least not ones that Samsung has mentioned thus far. There could be some small changes that we’ll figure out after the update arrives.
One UI 9 did bring plenty of new things to the table recently, so don’t expect anything from this security patch. This patch is expected to start rolling out to Samsung devices in the coming days. As usual, newer and higher-end devices will likely get the update first, but Samsung does roll out these updates rather fast, so… you won’t have to wait for long.
