Motorola Razr Fold
– $1,699
Motorola’s first book-style foldable beats Samsung on battery, charging and camera, and right now it’s $200 off with up to $400 extra for your trade-in.
Motorola’s Razr Fold is $200 off right now, dropping to $1,699.99 from $1,899.99. You can grab the Razr Fold from Motorola today. But the real savings come from trading in your old phone.
Here’s how it works. Motorola gives you the normal trade-in value for your old device, then adds a bonus on top of that. Trade in an iPhone and get an extra $400. Trade in any other eligible phone and get an extra $300. So if your old phone is worth $300 on its own, an iPhone trade-in would get you $700 off, plus the $200 discount. That’s how this phone can come in well under $1,000.
It’s currently listed as the best foldable on our Android phones list, and it tops our Motorola phones guide as Motorola’s best phone right now.
As I said in my Razr Fold review, Motorola somehow got more right on its first book-style foldable than most brands manage in three generations. And I stand by that.
The biggest reason to buy it is battery life. Motorola switched to a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, and it delivers. You also get 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, both of which beat the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
The camera is another big win. The Razr Fold packs three 50MP sensors, including a Sony LYTIA main camera and a 3x periscope telephoto. DXOMark gave it a score of 164, making it the best foldable camera DXOMark has ever tested.
Open it up, and you get an 8.1-inch 2K OLED display and a 6.6-inch cover screen. It also supports the Moto Pen Ultra, so you can take notes or sketch right on the big screen. And it’s the first phone with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 for extra drop protection.
Inside, there’s a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Motorola also promises seven years of Android updates, putting it on par with Samsung and Google.
If you have an old iPhone sitting in a drawer, this is the time to put it to use. Between the $200 discount and the $400 trade-in bonus, it’s hard to find a better foldable deal right now.
