Roku Pro Series LX OLED TV
Smart TVs have become the new standard of TVs. This is because the way we consume content has changed, and TV makers have had to adapt in order to meet those demands. Now, if you’re in the market for a new smart TV, Roku has announced that its Pro Series LX OLED smart TVs are available for purchase.
Roku Pro Series LX OLED TVs now available for purchase
Roku actually showed off these sets last month. So if you have been waiting to buy one, now you can. According to Roku, the Roku Pro Series LX OLED comes in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes and it is available on Amazon.
The 55-inch model is priced at $1,299. However, if you need a larger display, the 65-inch version costs $1,599. It’s slightly more pricey, obviously, but you get a considerably larger screen.
Roku’s regular Pro Series OLED has been on sale since September, starting at $999, so the LX sits a step above it. Roku also added a few extras that might make the upgrade worth it. This includes a remote finder button that sits right on the TV, so a missing remote won’t stay missing for long. The TV also comes with the Roku Voice Remote Pro.
What can you expect?
Just in case you missed Roku’s earlier announcement, the Roku Pro Series LX OLED uses a 144Hz 4K OLED display. Roku says that means ultra-deep blacks and rich color. You can find features such as Dolby Vision along with Roku Smart Picture Max. That feature tunes the picture for you, so you don’t have to fiddle with settings.
The TVs also support wide viewing angles. This means that every seat gets a good view. The company also says an advanced polarizer cuts down on room reflections. If you play games on your TV, then the 144Hz panel will probably come in handy. There’s an automatic Game Mode that drops you right into the action. There is also support for both FreeSync Premium and VRR, which helps to cut lag and screen tearing.
The Voice Remote Pro has backlit buttons, hands-free voice control and customizable shortcuts. It also recharges over USB-C. It’s worth noting that the Roku Pro Series LX OLED runs Roku’s own software. If you’d rather use Google TV, you can plug a streaming box like the Google TV Streamer through the HDMI port.
